On Wednesday, November 15th Pasadena Tenants Union filed for Pasadena Fair and Equitable Housing Charter Amendment for Rent Control and Just Cause in the City of Pasadena for the November 6th, 2018 election. We are proud to be part of this movement for housing stability in the city of Pasadena.

Fair and Equitable Housing Charter Amendment 

Rent control regulates rents increases. A landlord sets the initial rent in any amount. A rent board determines the % of rent increases every year based on CPI (Consumer Price Index).

2015               0.9%
2016               1.9%
Your rent will never exceed 4.5% increase. ​Tenants may be charged an increase of rent only once a year. 

Just Cause eviction protections means landlords must have a specific reason to evict a tenant.  Any tenant violating the lease can be evicted. Just Cause applies to all units.
